Drama Projects on Offer:
Full Scale Production (Total 9 Weeks)
This breaks down into a 4 week part time rehearsal period followed by 5 weeks full time period and culminating a performance week. Playing For Time Theatre Company can suggest suitable productions and provide staff to run the projects.
Two Week Drama Course
Two weeks of full time work that culminates in an informal performance for other prisoners and staff members. These courses follow a pattern of devising and producing original work. Upon request they can incorporate theatrical devices such as puppetry, mask work, multi media and physical theatre.
Day Workshops
Playing for Time Theatre Company offers bespoke day workshops that can explore mask work, puppetry, physical theatre, comedy or writing. Day workshops can also be commissioned to address issues of offending behaviour, such as drug or alcohol awareness workshops.
Accreditation is provided though the Open College Network via a program entitled Exploring Drama and Theatre written by Playing for Time Theatre Company. The drama facilitators running the courses would require the assistance of a member of the education department in each establishment to support those gaining qualifications.
Charges for running projects will vary according to the nature of the project. |
